We are a not-for-profit organization that provides support services to adults and seniors in Simcoe County who have an intellectual disability. We support people in directing their own lives and in promoting partnerships, opportunities, well-being, freedom and contributions in their community.
Located at 111 Dunlop Street East in Barrie, The Camphill Store opened December 1, 2015 as a central spot to showcase and sell products made by Camphill residents, day-program participants and friends of Camphill, alongside artists and crafts people from the Barrie area.
The store also includes dried herbs and herbal products from the herbery, and a variety of cards. L’Arche, a similar organization out of Richmond Hill, also has a variety of items for sale in the store — candles, pottery and cards — that have been made in their studio.
There is also a variety of work from artistic friends of Camphill: photographic cards and prints by Scott Hurst (Barrie); Utopia/New Lowell photographer Mary Lucky; mittens by JoAnne Campbell (London); fibre artist Corrie Parson (Barrie), among others.
