Jackie Warmelink

Jackie has been working in clay for 30 years,  the last 10 years in  her studio on the family farm in the Hills of Mulmur. She works in both Stoneware and Raku  and hand builds a unique range of  pottery using slabs of clay often imprinted with lace and leaves such as tropical, rhubarb and hosta to create  textures on the surface of the clay. She mixes her own glazes and uses 2-3 glazes on each piece to create unusual organic colour combinations.

In Stoneware she produces unusual serving dishes – bowls,  platters chip and dip sets, wine coolers and berry bowls including her signature folded bowls. Her Stoneware is food safe, oven and dishwasher proof.

In Raku she makes vases, platters, bowls and whimsical birds, animals and fish mounted on driftwood and old barn board. Because of the unpredictability of the Raku process and glazes each one is unique and truly one of a kind. A collectors piece!
